The Big First Aid Lesson
14:00 – 15:00 Friday 3rd November 2017.
Online and free, the nation’s biggest first aid lesson returns to schools across the country on Friday 3 November 2017.
Hosted by children and a well-known personality, The Big First Aid Lesson 2017 will be an engaging lesson-long show that includes practical elements, animations and interactive activities that will give thousands of young people lifesaving skills.
Themed around the familiar scenario of attending a Fireworks Night event, with a ‘Vlog’ presentation style, students will observe real-life first aid situations that they can relate to, as well as demonstrations of relevant first aid techniques, including important bonfire night safety tips. This year, we’re going to be covering a whole range of topics including who, what and how to call in an emergency, choking and burns.
This year, the lesson is aimed at primary and early secondary students with lesson plans and teaching resources available for key stages 1-3.
As a charity, St John Ambulance continue to make first aid accessible, easy to learn, and fun - students will walk out feeling confident they could one day be a life saver.
